The Witch Queen Power Cap

When The Witch Queen expansion drops on February 22nd, everyone that is not 1350 Power Level will be raised to 1350.

Between 1350 Power and 1500 Power, ANYTHING you do will increase your number.

Once you hit 1500, the ONLY way to raise your number is with Powerful and Pinnacle drops.

Once you hit 1550, the ONLY way to get higher is with Pinnacle drops.

1560 is the new cap (before your Artifact).

Basic Leveling Guide:

Blue Drops

With The Witch Queen, blue (rare) rewards will NO longer drop from activities once you reach 1500 Power. They can still drop from enemies and chests though.

FINALLY!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve probably spent days of my life just dismantling all of the useless Blues I’ve gotten in Destiny over the years.

I really hope they’ll drop significantly less often so it’ll be very easy to manage.

Gunsmith Rep

Just like Zavala, Shaxx, Drifter, and soon Lord Saladin, Banshee will also have a new reputation system.

Gunsmith Materials, Weapon Telemetries, and Mod Components will be deleted from Destiny. Turn these in now if you want to get anything from Banshee.

To level Banshee’s rep:

• Dismantle Legendary weapons & armor

• Dismantle Exotic weapons & armor

• Complete bounties

Hawkmoon & Dead Man’s Tale

Since these two exotics’ missions will be removed, a new way to get randomly-rolled versions will be added in The Witch Queen.

Each week, Xur will sell a unique roll for each. It’ll be expensive though. It will cost:

• 1 Ascendant Shard 

• 1 Exotic Cipher 

• 125,000 Glimmer 

• 200 Legendary Shards 

Their exotic catalysts will drop playlist activities.

Bounties are safe

Here are the bounties that are being removed before Witch Queen goes live:

• Season of the Hunt

• Season of the Splicer

• Season of the Lost

• Tangled Shore

• A couple Drifter/Gunsmith bounties

Everything else is safe to save for leveling your Artifact in The Witch Queen.

Witch Queen Raid Release

The Witch Queen raid will release on March 5th at the daily reset (10:00 AM PST / 1:00 PM EST / 18:00 UTC).
