Master Vault of Glass Makes One Thing Clear

Destiny content should NOT be this controversial.

Why does there need to be an imaginary line in the sand? Casual vs Hardcore. There's more than two types of players in Destiny.

The Problem

Remember Goldilocks and the Three Bears? Papa Bear's content is too hard. Mama Bear's content is too easy.

There's NO Baby Bear!

Most people are Goldilocks. Master Vault of Glass is Papa Bear content. Peak out of cover a frame too long? Instantly dead. It's like playing a cover-based shooter.

Seasonal content is a perfect example of Mama Bear content. You can binge watch Westworld, fully captivated in the show and STILL win.

Where's the content in the middle?

The Solution

We need more Baby Bear content.

Lost Sectors are designed perfectly. Normal is impossible to fail. I can still watch Westworld in Legend. But in Master, I need to pause the show.

In Legend, you're punished for EGREGIOUS mistakes but not EVERY mistake.

You can't ignore all of the enemies shooting you, but you can still push forward. You're still a powerful, god-killing Guardian!

This is what's missing from Vault of Glass.

The Outcome

There's now a path from one extreme to the other. If you're casual at Destiny, there's content that will push you. You'll have clear, obtainable goals.

Content that was out of reach gets closer and closer. Instead of a chasm separating players, there's a bridge.

No more Casual vs Hardcore.
