💠Freelance Trials begins Friday

Nothing to Do in PvE

Everyone still hates the Exodus Crash strike. And the Grandmaster version is one of the most hated Grandmasters. I have no good memories of doing this GM when it was first released.

Not only is the GM awful, but the rewards are (arguably) the worst Nightfall weapons.

Sure, The Comedian is an Aggressive frame but has no Quickdraw or Opening Shot. The only good perk is Vorpal Weapon. That’s not enough.

Auto Rifles are in a weird place in the meta right now. Shadow Price is one of the worst archetypes of Auto Rifle. Precision Frame 450 RPM Auto Rifles have one of the slowest optimal time-to-kills (0.8 seconds) and one of the most unforgiving body shot time-to-kills (1.47 seconds).

Precision Frames are bad in PvP and overshadowed by other Auto Rifles in PvE.

Freelance Trials

Freelance Trials will either be very good or further crush what’s left of the Trials population.

The Trials player population reached a new low this past weekend of about 480,000 players. In 5 weeks, Trials has dropped 36%.

It’s still up from 134,000 players each week before the revamp. But for how long?

Of the 480,000 players that played this past weekend, 143,000 (down from 183,000 the week before) were separated into the Flawless pool.

Freelance Trials will cut the player pool in half again.

It cannot be in the best interest for Trials to have 4 different player pools going on at the same time (Flawless, Not Flawless, Freelance, Teams).

Do me a favor and share this with your friends 🥺

PvE Players, there’s nothing to do once you get the Grandmaster Exodus Crash clear for Conqueror. PvP Players, I hope Freelance helps Trials more than it may actually harm it.

Have a great Destiny reset!
